Our Beliefs
As a Southern Baptist church, we hold to the historic truths of the Christian faith found in God's Word. Here is a summary of what we believe and teach.
The Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God. It is our supreme authority for all matters of faith and life, teaching us who God is and how He calls us to live.
2 Timothy 3:16–17
God the Father, Son & Holy Spirit
We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, and rose again.
Matthew 28:19; John 1:1,14
Salvation Through Christ Alone
We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. No amount of good works can earn it — it is the free gift of God to all who turn to Jesus in repentance and faith.
Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9
Believer's Baptism
We practice baptism by immersion for those who have personally trusted Christ as Savior and Lord. It is a beautiful picture of His death, burial, and resurrection and our new life in Him.
Romans 6:4; Acts 8:36–38
The Church
We believe the church is the body of Christ, called together for worship, fellowship, discipleship, and mission. Every believer is gifted and called to serve within the church family.
1 Corinthians 12:12–13; Hebrews 10:24–25
The Priesthood of All Believers
We affirm that every follower of Christ has direct access to God through Jesus and is called to minister, share the Gospel, and study Scripture with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
1 Peter 2:9; Revelation 1:6
The Baptist Faith & Message
For a fuller statement of our doctrine, we affirm the Baptist Faith & Message (2000), the confessional statement of the Southern Baptist Convention. It outlines our shared beliefs on Scripture, God, humanity, salvation, the church, and last things.
