Discover the Good News of Jesus

“…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…”

The word 'gospel' literally means good news! But before good news makes sense, we have to understand our need for it. Romans 3:23 reminds us that no one is perfectly righteous. Every single human being falls short of God's holy standard. Sin separates us from a relationship with God.

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

While we were unlovable and unable to save ourselves, God chose to demonstrate His deep love toward us. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to take our place and die for our sins on the cross so that we could be forgiven.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

What we earn by our sin is death and separation from God. But in contrast to what we deserve, God offers eternal life as a free, unearned gift in Jesus Christ. Jesus paid the penalty so that you wouldn't have to.

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ…”

If you put your faith in Jesus Christ, you are in Christ! That means your sin is washed clean. You no longer walk under guilt or condemnation, but in freedom and eternal hope.

“…that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved…”

Salvation comes through believing in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose from the dead, and confessing Him as your Lord. When you place your trust in Him, God promises to save you and make you a new creation!
